Born in 1988 and originally from Burgundy, J.M. Robert began painting at a very young age, mimicking the effects of patina, dirt and degradation he saw on city walls. Ruins, damaged facades inspire him. He likes the trace left by the passage of time, and it is this that he will later reproduce in his works. After education in Paris at the Métiers d’Arts in graphic design and decoration, where he especially learned the techniques of trompe l’oeil,        J.M. Robert started to be inspirated in pop art and street art. He is interested in the creations of graffiti artists, whose pictorial language is strong and straightforward; their goal is to leave a mark that in an instant should attract the attention of passers-by. Gradually, he develops his own style. The faces and bodies of women are the main theme of his work .After several exhibitions in Lyon, J. M. Robert began a new phase in 2012: he returned to the Parisian gallery for a solo exhibition
