CHRISTOPHE GALLARD
… Sometimes Art is larger than Life… « A work of Art is often the result of an encounter between an artist and a particular materiel, an idea linked to a substance.
- My main recurrent concern is the Human Being, his looks, his love stories and his passage through Time. Each sees what he wants to see. I choose a clear visual texture where transparency plays a key role in revealing the truth. Technique, at first essential, suddenly becomes obsolete as only emotions prevail ». GALLARD is a French artist, born in Royan in 1958.
- He now lives and works in the South of France near Montpellier. He has been creating the most original sculptures using altuglas (Lucite) for more than 35 years with an undeniable cubist influence. His unique creations remind us of Dali, Miro, Picasso and Cocteau to name just a few. His production is minimal as he emphasizes perfection and uniqueness, which makes him a perfect target for aware collectors.
